Exactly four years ago, I graduated college. Senior year was rough and a little tumultuous. But I am part of the first generation of my family to choose college. It was a big deal and am very proud of having done so.
Many graduates proudly display their diplomas or perhaps even store them away for years, not to be seen until many many years later. As we speak, mine hangs at my mama’s living room (or wherever she has placed it now, she re-designs things every day). Because, really, it was all her. I wouldn’t have achieved such a feat if she hadn’t believed that the only way for us to leave the poverty of our surroundings was to study freakin’ hard.
So here’s to you, crazy mami! Thank you.
(Also, how cute is that top she is wearing?!?!?!)
Have a great Summer Weekend! Will return to blogging next week
Allison and Andy, who are super cool, got married a year ago on the hottest week of the year. Still, it was quite a rad wedding and I want to wish them a Happy Anniversary, yay! Also, I realize I have never blogged these images, I think. So, here they are

Rad.
My Portland bestie, Linnea, and I had one last photo adventure before she trekked off to Houston, Texas some weeks ago. It involved a farm full of the most beautiful flowers this side of Alpha Centauri. Adelman Peony Garden was just lovely, as many Oregon flower farms are. Oh, swoon. Really. Enjoy!

Look how big it is!

You are beautiful!
Summer equals delicious watermelons. Nom nom nom indeed! Have a happy weekend
Seriously, what could be better than having Summer picnics with friends at a park?
Watermelon! That’s what.
The Baker.

How absolutely wonderful it was to attend Kelly and Joseph’s stateside wedding for those of us who couldn’t fly out to Mexico for their first ceremony! It was also my first time camping as well set up our tents at the end of the day at this beautiful cabin in Welches, OR, close to Mount Hood. Charming location, great friends and lots of love for the newlywed couple. Silly me did not bring more film to shoot at the river-side ceremony. Silly {good thing I wasn’t the official photographer, right!} Swoon! Congratulations, Kelly and Joseph!
This is Arf.

Some of the guests took a bus ride to get to the cabin. It was all sorts of fun.

Nighty night! Sigh. What an amazing day. To think I almost missed the bus and the wedding!

And this is Abuelo Cheo.
I witnessed all this from my little corner, sobbing and sobbing, for I knew he was already dead. Anytime I can dream about him is a lovely experience, even if I have to face the truth.
Sigh,
(Man, I’m a total debbie downer today, sheesh)
